FUNDRAISING FOR WILDLIFE

My love for animals, nature and the environment has led me to explore wildlife charities with a view of what I can do within my business to support them, so it makes total sense to give back and donate 2.5% of each sale to a wildlife conservation.

I AM FUNDRAISING FOR SUMATRAN ORANGUTAN SOCIETY

Beautifully British

All of my collection is made and printed in the UK , going against industrial manufacture and supporting British Craft resulting in a low shipping footprint from its outset.

All products are beautifully handcrafted by myself and a skilled team of seamstresses. I produce small runs of fabric to minimize deadstock, so be sure to secure your cushion choice before its gone.

Zero waste

I am really conscious of waste, so my accessories are made from left-over fabric. Any scraps too small for accessories are responsibly recycled or donated to education/ charity facilities.

Promoting craft & culture

My collection is exclusively made in my studio using artisan skills so you can be sure that nothing is manufactured on a mass scale, free from child labour and human trafficking, everyone here is paid a living wage.

Traditional textiles have informed and influenced my work and is a topic I am passionate in promoting due to the benefits of strengthening communities, sustain cultural heritage and bringing greater sustainable and economic growth

Materials and eco inks

The process used to print my fabrics is done via sublimation printing which results in Zero-waste, this is the benefit of using this method of printing.

  • This process is one of the friendliest.

  • It begins with my artwork first printed onto a transfer paper, which is sourced from sustainable forest crops, after use it is then recycled through a specialist waste collection service.

  • The dyes used are certificated as Azo dye-free.

  • The dyes are cured using a combined pressure and dry heat process that does not require water.

  • No excessive wasted consumables involved.

The elements and energy

Sewing machines and heat processing is used to produce a vast array of products. However, this is activated in a way that’s super-efficient. Machines are powered via timers and consumption diversity is staggered so it’s used only when required.

Packaging

All orders are wrapped in tissue paper that is made from recyclable and sustainable sources, making it biodegradable. The dye used is also considered environmentally friendly as its uses water-based products.

I send out orders using Eco Mailers, I have a few types that range in different sizes. Here is the details of what they are made off :

  • Smaller mail bags are 100% Compostable and can be composted both at home and commercially.  Made from a plant starch bio-resin such as regular field corn and wheat straw, the mailbag will break down within 90 days in commercial compost and 180 days in domestic compost conditions.

  • Larger Mailbags are made from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable

  • Reuse - Designed with a double glue line seal for one-time re-use.

The environment is something I am passionate about, I continue to learn more through my journey towards environmental sustainability and creating positive change which is an ongoing process to create a sustainable green future.

By choosing Laura B Interiors, you are playing a significant part in positive change for the environment and people, of which I would like to thank you.
